Intertain Group to aquire Gamesys for £425 million
Canadian company Intertain Group has been on a spending spree as of late. Just over six months ago they were reported to have acquired Mandalay Media for a sum close to £50 million. Mandalay Media is responsible for big bingo brands such as Costa Bingo, BGO Bingo, Rio Bingo and Sing Bingo.
It is now being reported that Intertain is on the verge of making another massive acquisition with the potential purchase of Gamesys. Gamesys operates the Jackpot Joy brand and the prospective acquisition of the company is rumoured to be valued at an astounding £425 million.
In addition to the purchase of Jackpot Joy a couple of the other labels that will come under Intertain's management include Botemania, Star Spins and the social gaming assets attached to these sites.
Players on these sites need not be concerned about how this might effect the gameplay that they enjoy and are accustomed to. The acquisition by Intertain will have no major impact on the content and services offered by these sites as Gamesys has signed a contract that enables them to maintain the same operative format for the next ten years.
