Paddy Power appoints new Chief Executive
The giant Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has announced that it will appoint Andy McCue as the new chief executive and director of the company. McCue's tenure begins immediately and he is slated to complete the transitional period and replace Chief Executive Patrick Kennedy effective 1st January, 2015.
McCue is no stranger to the industry and has in fact developed a solid career on the Paddy Power team for the past eight years. Before stepping into the role of Chief Executive, McCue served as Paddy Power's managing director in the UK and Ireland.
McCue was appointed as Chief Executive after a long and rigorous vetting process to find the top candidate for the position. McCue was deemed to be the perfect person for the role at Paddy Power's helm. Upon receiving the nomination to replace Kennedy, McCue stated that, “We have a tremendous team and I very much look forward to working with them to build on that success by continuing to engage customers with the best value, product and brand.”
The Chairman of Paddy Power, Nigel Northridge, expressed delight at McCue's appointment to the Chief Executive role saying, “We are delighted to appoint Andy as the successor to Patrick. He has an outstanding track record and has consistently demonstrated strong leadership across the business as a key member of the Management Committee and in his role driving the regulatory agenda.”
Lord Bingo congratulates Andy McCue on his new role at Paddy Power and looks forward to seeing new developments at the top brand under his leadership. To read Lord Bingo's Paddy Power Bingo review go HERE.
