William Hill in talks to buy 888 for £750 Million
The London Times has reported that the UK's biggest bookmaker, William Hill, is in talks with online gambling company 888 Holding, to purchase the company for £750 million.
According to the report, a deal has been brokered that would allow William Hill to purchase the online gambling giant for £2.10 per share. However, it has also been reported that the majority shareholders in 888 are holding out for a higher sum amounting to £3 per share.
Shares of 888 stock were up as much as 23% in London to £1.73, as news of the potential buyout began to leak. Both William Hill and 888 have not responded to inquiries from the press regarding the deal.
